Michelle Obama: First Lady or Hollywood Celebrity?
Michelle Obama seems to be everywhere lately and that has critics questioning whether a first lady should be so universal. She talked up hairdo's with Rachael Ray, released two public service announcements with Big Bird, and promoted her anti-obsesity campaign with Jimmy Fallon. She just recently had a week's worth of appearances with a surprise appearance at the Oscars where she announced the Best Picture winner. Conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin said Obama's role at the Academy Awards went too far, trivializing the White House and made "both the president and the first lady seem small and grasping."
"There is a sense of going too far and too much and becoming so ubiquitous that people don't consider you something special," Rubin told NBC White House correspondent Kristen Welker. "She is the first lady for goodness sakes. She's not just a Hollywood celebrity." Advertising executive Donny Deutsch agreed, calling the first lady "an uninvited guest."
"You are putting politics, like it or not, in a space that people are not necessarily invited into their home for, "he said Tuesday on TODAY's Professionals panel.
I understand where they're coming from, but I also understand why people want her to make so many appearances.. what do you guys think?

MC Hammer Arrested for Obstruction
The "U Can't Touch This" rapper got arrested last Thursday in Oakland, Calif., for alledgedly obstructing the police. The rapper then took it to Twitter to claim that he was racially profiled. The Alameda County Sheriff's Department confirmed, real name Stanley Burrell, was taken into custody and cited for resisting an officer, but Hammer insisted he did nothing wrong.
"Cubby elvis looking dude was tapping on my window and he said 'Are you on parole or probation?" Hammer tweeted." While I was handing him my ID he reached in my car and tried to pull me out the car but forgot he was on a steady donut diet.." He continued to say that the officer pulled out his gun and blew his whistle to call for help. "Only thing more dangerous than a scared man with a gun, is a scared man with an agenda, a gun and a badge. I was cited for obstruction smh." he added. Burell was booked at a nearby police station then was released a short while after. He then told the officer, "Contrary to his personal beliefs, all people of color are not on parole or probation fat boy !!!" He ended his rant on Twitter by trying to see the incident as a lesson. "Instead of being bitter, I'm taking the opportunity to make this a 'teachable moment' and 'eye opener' for my many friends and colleagues," he wrote.
Akon Sued for Stage Diving
A concertgoer claims to be physically disabled and he's blaming it all on Akon. The singer allegedly stage dove right on top of the guy causing him permanent injury. Matthew Graham filed a lawsuit against the singer claiming that while he attended an Akon concert back in 2009 he "negligently or wantonly leapt into the overcrowded mass of concertgoers" and struck him. Graham says he sustained severe permanent injury to his knee, back, head, and body. He is suing for medical expenses, lost wages, physical pain and mental anguish.

Kanye West Disses Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake
We all know Kanye West has never been the one to hold back how he feels, but to diss Jay-Z? This is a different side of Ye that we have never seen, especially since the duo just wrapped up the "Watch the Throne" tour last year. The rapper went on stage during a show in London and went off about Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake's song "Suit and Tie". "I got love for Hov, but I aint f--king with that "Suit and Tie", Kanye told the crowd as an instrutmental "Clique" played in the background which features him and Jay-Z.
But that was only the beginning of Kanye's rant about the music industry. "I hate business people" West rapped. "People get on the phone with me an tell me, 'What kind of business can you do though? What type of business are you doing? What's the numbers? How much did you sell? What's the radio spins? How much shampoo can you sell with your face on it and sh-t. Can you remind me again why we in this sh-t? Since when was making art about getting rich? Remind again why the Grammy's couldn't suck my d-ck."
Last week, Jay and Justin announced that they will embark on a world tour this summer, I guess that's a show Kanye doesn't want to attend.

Cash Money Records sued by a 70s Producer
Lil Wayne and Birdman's label Cash Money Records seems to be in hot water over allegations that they illegally used a sample from a 70's song that was used in one of Bow Wow's tracks. Robert Poindexter, the producer behind the lawsuit claims Cash Money sampled his band's song "Love Gonna Pack Up ( and Walk Out)" and used it in Bow Wow's 2010 track "Still Ballin". Poindexter stated neither Cash Money nor Bow Wow got permission to sample the track. He also claims he reached out to Cash Money for an answer and was directed to Bow Wow's attorneys, who then directed him back to Cash Money. Poindexter wants $600,000 in punitive damages, plus interest. Cash Money has yet to respond to the suit.
Pregnant Kim K: Kanye West has taught Me the Value of Privacy
Kim Kardashian has recently opened up about keeping some boundaries when she's out in public. Kim loves interacting with her fans but this has become an issue since she became pregnant with her and Kanye's first child. "Its not uncommon for the media to take things you say in an interview out of context, or twist them to make the story more interesting. In a recent interview I was asked what Kanye had taught me that I value the most. I said privacy." she wrote in a blog addressed to her fans. "I have learned to understand that it's important to have boundaries, especially when we are having a private date night dinner. So if someone came up to the table at dinner, I used to get up, take pics and sign autographs in the middle of the meal. Now, I know that this time is our private time, and I absolutely will as soon as I'm done eating! It's not that he won't let me sign autographs for my fans... far from it! Just as soon as we're done! Totally understandable!" This makes perfect sense, let's just hope that fans will take heed to Kim's message.

Rihanna's Home Broken Into?
While the "Diamonds" singer is on a birthday getaway with on and off boyfriend Chris Brown, sources reported that the singer's Los Angeles home has been broken into. Allegedly, a man was arrested after being spotted by neighbors at her Pacific Palisades home, who claimed to have recieved instructions on how to enter the property, but apparently the story turned out to be phony. A house was broken into but turned out to be the singer's neighbors. Good news for her, bad news for them.
